Former Councillors Mourn Demise of Mohsina Kidwai

Lucknow: Former councillors expressed deep grief over the demise of veteran political leader Mohsina Kidwai and paid heartfelt tributes during a condolence meeting held at the councillors’ hall of Meerut Municipal Corporation.

As a mark of respect, attendees observed a two-minute silence in her memory. Remembered as a distinguished administrator and seasoned politician, speakers noted that her passing is a significant loss to the political fraternity and leaves a void that will be difficult to fill.

Mohsina Kidwai, who had served as a Union Minister and was elected twice as a Member of Parliament from the Meerut–Mawana constituency, was widely respected for her contributions to public service and governance.

Those present at the condolence meeting prayed for peace for the departed soul and extended their sympathies to the bereaved family. Among those who attended were former councillors’ leader Afzal Saifi, Ehsan Ansari, Mobeen, Amar Singh, and Congress Committee Secretary Parvez Alam Khan, along with other members.

The gathering concluded with prayers and expressions of solidarity, honouring the legacy of the late leader.
